Truth be told, I enjoy riding in the sort of conditions we encountered today. Cool enough that tights and a wool sweater are just enough, but not so cold that staying warm's a struggle. And just the safe side of rainy, with a light mist in the air.
When we rolled out at 1 PM the idea was to head north toward Lake Brandt Rd, then decide which way to go from there. As it turned out we veered onto Air Harbor, then made our way north to Highway 150. All in all, we expected to ride 35 or so miles, but once we threw in a certain amount of wandering and a missed turn, we ended up with 45. Here's the map:
Happily, 45 miles put me over my goal of 3,500 for the season.
