Getting closer

That hum you may hear is the anticipatory buzz I feel from knowing my long-awaited Zanconato Max is getting closer to reality. I sent my measurements off to Mike, along with some guidelines for paint: Pearl white, along with whatever touches he and the painter want to add – surprise me, I said.

And, I've decided on the build: Campy Chorus, with handbuilt wheels – Velocity A23 rims laced to Record hubs. 

When I was out in Death Valley I met a bike mechanic who was familiar with Zank's work. However long you have to wait, he said, will be worth it.
