  • I'm the principal of august communication consultants, where I assist clients with online communication strategy, campaign planning, project management and content development. I work both directly with client companies across a range of industries, and in collaboration with marketing and design agencies that have short and long term needs that align with my skills.

Squidoo, a Home for Nobodies

The New York Times offers a look at Squidoo, where people create topical "lenses" that focus on specific subjects. I mention this only for selfish reasons (although that's not a reason to avoid reading it): My bio now resides on a Squidoo lens, along with those of my fellow members of the I.A.N., or International Association of Nobodies. The backstory is here.

There's more to membership than the simple joy of being a Nobody. Linda Zimmer, another Nobody, gets to the heart of the matter in this post, "Ten Reasons Why It's Important to be a Nobody."

My favorite: "Nobodies must impress only clients."
